Drink 'Til We Die [Lagerstein]

Morning (or afternoon) post because I got back late last night (or early this morning). Well, Thursday I had a lazy day (I still can't shake this cold) went for a couple of short walks in Prague and admired the buildings.

This guy was just hanging out waiting for
Mary Poppins

Czech flies are bigger than in Australia...

Yesterday I did a walking tour of Prague. Here come the photos.

I liked this clock

This is the New Town Hall
Protestants threw Catholics out of the windows that are
now barred - it's the first floor
Other Protestants staked the life out of those who
hit the ground and didn't die

I don't know what this was, but I like it

Just beautiful

The Powder Tower, and entrance to Old Town

The angels have gold wings!

A statue to the guy who brought Protestantism to Prague

The originally Protestant, now Catholic, church
peering out from behind the buildings

Some guys having fun at the top there

Looking at Prague Castle

The recital hall

I learnt a lot about Prague and the Czech Republic's history, and our guide was really good. I saw a lot on the walk back to the hostel.

More guys on a building

Another gorgeous tower
The entrance to Charles Bridge

A swan and fairly grown up cygnets

Just for you, Mum - bridge photo
There are trams crossing it

So green!

A mosaic at the top of the building
Then I did a Segway tour, and I was the only one on the tour!

Beautiful views

Cathedral!

I managed to balance on the Segway

This is Lesser Town, the oldest part of Prague

The oldest pub in Prague - from the Middle Ages

I had a pizza for tea and only ate half - I was proud of my efforts.

Massive, massive pizza

My tour guide was a bit of a metalhead, and recommended a metal pub to me - I managed to find it. I got there about 8:30pm.

Hell's Bell's - Prague's underground metal pub
It was in a basement, and very cool. I left around 2:30am, so I had an awesome time.

This is Prague at 3am - my camera doesn't like the dark
I got back around 3:30am because I got lost a lot.

Well, it's my last afternoon here so I'm off to explore!
